Booking Terms and Conditions

I have read and understood the below site induction and understand the standards expected of me and I agree to work safely and comply at all times. I agree to run through the below actions with all participants of my book party.

  1. If a council employee is required, they can be contacted by reporting to the Visitor Centre Information Desk.
  2. Any incidents, injuries, hazards, near misses must be reported to the council employee and the Visitor Information Desk.
  3. In the event of an emergency, the council employee will take charge – they will give directions in regard to the emergency plan, assembly point evacuation routes and closest medical facility.
  4. Toilets can be found at the entrance of the building.
  5. First aid facilities/kits, first aid personnel are available via the Visitor Centre Desk.
  6. The building is open from 9am – 5pm (Monday – Friday), 10am – 4pm (weekends and public holidays)

To confirm your booking, the room hire fee or agreed upon amount is required with 7 days. Tentative bookings will be held for 7 days only. All tentative bookings not confirmed within 7 days will be then made available.


To enable us to correctly cater for your function, final numbers and menu choices must be confirmed at least 7 days prior to your function. This is the minimum number of guests for which you will be charged. Any additional numbers will be charged accordingly on the night.


A non-refundable deposit of either $250 or 20% of the total booking – which-ever is the lesser – is required to confirm your booking, with payment in full required on or before the function date. We accept payment by cash, cheque, Eftpos, Visa or MasterCard.


In the event that a confirmed booking is cancelled, the deposit is non-refundable but may be changed to a later date.


Guests under the age of 18 are permitted to be on the premises when in the company of an adult but must vacate by midnight. Liquor must not under any circumstances be supplied to a minor. Staff will refuse to serve alcohol to any guests unable to show suitable proof of age ID e.g. – Proof of age card, Driver’s License or Passport.

Management and staff practice Responsible Service of Alcohol and thus reserve the right to refuse service to anyone showing anti-social behaviour.


Organises are financially responsible for any damage or breakage sustained to the Visitor Centre by the organiser or any of their guests. The Visitor Centre will not accept any responsibility for loss or damage to personal effects left within the premises during or after the function.


General cleaning is included in the cost of your function, however, if cleaning requirements are excessive, additional charges will be incurred.


The Hirer shall keep current a public liability risk insurance policy. This policy must insure for the amount of Ten Million Dollars ($10,000,000.00) for each claim and must cover injury and loss or damage to persons or property arising out of the Hirer’s use of the Area.


The booking party must supply their own beer, wine, cider and soft drinks for the function; spirits and fortified wines are only permitted at the discretion of the Centre Manager. A minimum of two McLaren Vale Wines must be made available when choosing the BYO package.


All bookings past 10.00pm will incur an after hours fee of $300.
